Put Germany on Your Resume this Summer: Apply Now for a Ruhr Fellowship

Initiativkreis Ruhr - GasometerGain access to top universities and top international companies in Germany as a “Ruhr Fellow”.

The Ruhr Fellowship Program connects highly motivated undergraduate students in the United States with a unique experience to expand their portfolio and networks to one of the most dynamic and technologically advanced areas in Germany. As Germany’s “Cradle of Industry”, the Ruhr Area has come to represent creativity and innovation with its internationally renowned companies, universities and research institutes.

We are looking for top students interested in a new hands-on experience next summer as one of 10 Ruhr Fellows. From June 1st through July 31st you will get to know the German higher educational system through a one-month culture and leadership program as well as the German work environment in a challenging one-month internship with one of the leading German companies and roundtable discussions with executives representing a variety of German global players. The application deadline is February 15.

The Ruhr Network: Enroll in one university, get three

The Ruhr area is Germany's largest academic hub, made of the 3 large universities of Dortmund, Duisburg-Essen, and Bochum, located along the Ruhr River, within 20 minutes of one another via tram/ subway.

When you enroll at one university you are given access to all three universities, via the ConRuhr alliance. All 3 universities use the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), which is compatible with the US credit system.

The Ruhr area is strongly connected to business and industry, with 8 of Germany's most important companies headquarted here. Our universities emphasize practical, hands-on training and internship possibilities.
