Looking for PhD students?

On March 3, a new website debuted online: academics.com. This English-language “career portal” advertises open positions at universities and research institutes in the German-speaking world in order to attract highly qualified scientists and researchers from abroad. Now education and research facilities have the possibility of reaching English-speaking international communities of scientists and educators, in addition to the German-speaking communities already addressed through academics.de and the newspaper Die Zeit’s online classifieds.

Partnered with DAAD, academics.com provides background information on the research landscape and promotion opportunities in Germany. The site also offers information on working and living in Germany. In the near future, the website will also provide a supplemental overview of all German-speaking universities and research institutes in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Academics.com makes an active contribution to the “internationalization strategy” recently enacted by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
